In November 2018, after years of living with bilateral knee pain, I decided to check out Joy Wellness Partners to see if there was a non-surgical way of treating the pain that was increasingly debilitating. The providers were incredible in explaining the diagnosis (you actually see what they are seeing during the ultrasound exam), treatment options, and costs. I had quad tendon tears and pinched nerves, which were treated with ultrasound-guided saline hydrodissection and growth factor therapy injections. I taped each knee for 8 weeks (and also used KT tape for a few more weeks) which provided the support I needed to ensure optimal healing. Although I was told that it was unlikely that insurance would pay for any of it, I submitted the bill to my insurance company and was reimbursed for about 30% of the cost.
